What are Non-Geographic Numbers (NGN's)?
Non-Geographic Numbers are so called because they do not represent a geographic point or location, like standard telephone numbers. For example; if the STD code is 0121, from this we know the caller is calling from Birmingham. A NGN may be used alongside your existing telephone number but gives the impression of a large nationwide company. The number can also help to keep track of calls and assist in marketing and advertising campaigns.

How many different types of Special Rate Service numbers are you able to provide?
We are able to provide your company with the following: -
0870 - Caller pays national rate. You pay nothing and receive a rebate.
0845 - Caller pays local rate. You pay the difference.
0800 - Caller pays nothing. You pay for the cost of the call.
Premium Rate Numbers - Caller pays a special tariff. You receive a rebate.

How will I be able to keep track of my calls?
We provide an online system that can be accessed from any PC using your own login and password. Once logged in you can view your call statistics.

I am an existing BT or Cable & Wireless 0870/ 0845/ 0800/ 0905/ 0906 user, how can your Special Rate Service be of use to me?
It doesn't matter if you're already with BT or Cable & Wireless. All you have to do is agree to bring or 'Port' your number to us and we will provide you with a service that will give you great savings all the time.

What does 'Porting' mean?
Porting means that you can ask for your existing Non-Geographic Number (NGN) to be transferred from one service provider to another, providing they have an existing agreement in place. Numeric Futures Ltd has a Porting agreement with BT and Cable & Wireless (via OFTEL), which allows us to take existing BT NGN's and port it to our services. Click here to find out more about Porting

What are the restrictions on the services that Digitech Solutions provides?
There really shouldn't be any restrictions, providing you give us enough information on the type of business you run we will be able to build up a call plan that would fit in with your business requirements.

Can we count on the service you provide?
Without a doubt! Our service is resilient and reliable; we are able to deliver quality services due to the connections we have established with network operators. In the event of network failure, we can reroute calls down the nearest available delivery channel, which means that the service is not lost or interrupted.

What does IVR stand for?
IVR stands for 'Intelligent Voice Recognition'. This is an automated voice facility, which uses a pre-recorded voice to give a range of options to the caller. The caller can then choose various options to reach departments, call centres or branches to deal with their call. You can choose to have an IVR that we can provide or have one personalized to your business requirements.

How can I obtain a Premium Rate Number?
To obtain a Premium Rate Number you need to tell us what type of number you require (0900, 0901, 0905, 0906 or 0909), what you are going to use it for (adult chat line, customer services, competition lines, etc) and how much you intend to charge the customer. With this information we get in contact with ICSTIS (Independent Committee for the Supervision of Standards of Telephone Information Services), who authorise the service to us, which then we can offer to you.
